     Hello,

    I have a 97 Toyota corolla. The scanner will not communicate with the car. I have tried all the connectors, making sure everything is connected properly. Please help.

    Not an easy question believe it or not, autel tools does not work with this early model
    toyota vehicles, don't ask me why is beyond me. They can hack nasa but not an early
    toyota model, go figure.

     Thanks for your reply ede65.  I see what part of the problem is.  I have an older scanner made by Innova, actually its a Craftsman scanner. The connector that came with it is very similar to the obd 2 connector that came with my Autel, except that the craftsman adapter has only 14 pins and the autel connector has 16. The craftsman adapter seems to fit better too.
